It’s the “Feel Good Story of the Year”!

Yesterday, following CUAD’s national press release about CU Social Good that was released on Monday, Robbie Thompson’s interview with Mike Lawson of CU Broadcast was released. The interview, conducted via Skype was requested several weeks ago, after
Mr. Lawson had stumbled across CUAD’s new website.

In Monday’s press release, we were proud to announce that the website had just passed the 500 mark! This means that 500 stories about the great things that credit unions do each and every day have been accumulated and archived in one place for all to see! These stories are all about credit unions’ charitable contributions, volunteer work, fundraising activities, financial literacy efforts, scholarships, and more.
CU Social Good is gaining momentum and is on the way generating a new public awareness by becoming a tool that can be used by all in the credit union industry for legislative lobbying efforts, awareness campaigns, and community relations.
Credit unions give back to their local communities in an amazing variety of creative and generous ways, and credit union employees and members are well known for their volunteer work and charitable fundraising events. Let’s talk about it! CUAD welcomes and encourages credit unions from around the country to contribute their stories.
What is your credit union doing to help people in your community? We want to know! Please visit our new website at http://www.cusocialgood.com/. To submit your credit union’s story, email to sharestories@cusocialgood.com or follow the link on the website home page.
