First Community Credit Union Breaks Ground for New Fargo Branch
First Community Credit Union (FCCU) recently held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of their new branch office in Fargo, ND. The Fargo-Moorhead Chamber of Commerce along with FCCU employees gathered to recognize the growing membership base in the Fargo area and the need for a standalone branch that can serve that growing membership base. FCCU opened its first Fargo branch just five years ago and the growth has been exponential.
FCCU’s current branch is located in the 45th Street Marketplace. The new branch will be located just to the south of FCCU’s current branch location. The 7000 square foot building will include drive-up lanes, which the existing facility did not have as well as state of the art features to better serve their members.
“It was only a matter of time before we knew that our small branch wouldn’t suffice for our growing membership. The new branch will better serve our members and community. It was nice to see so many individuals from the Chamber come support our growth since we first opened our Fargo branch five years ago,” said Steve Schmitz, CEO of First Community Credit Union.
