I would like to introduce you to yet another benefit of membership in the Credit Union Association of the Dakotas. On behalf of all member credit unions in the Dakotas, CUAD staff has arranged for each credit union to receive a free, customized Benefits of Membership Report. This report, created by CUNA’s Research and Information Department, puts hard numbers on the benefits your credit union provides to its members. It is based on information you provide as well as 5300 data. All member credit unions will be receiving a report for their credit union reflecting year-end 2012 data in March of this year. The separation of time is due to waiting for 5300 data to be published. A sample benefit of membership report is available here; yours will be personalized for your credit union.

Again, there is no cost for receiving this report, but we do need your help to develop your credit union’s report. You will need to complete about a 20 question questionnaire about your rates and fees. It should not take you more than a few minutes to complete the information and the information is not shared. Note that if you already completed the request at the urging of CUNA a few weeks ago in response to a project they are working on, you do not need to complete the questionnaire again. If you are not sure if you have completed the questionnaire previously please go ahead and complete the questionnaire again. A link to the questionnaire can be found here. You will need your CUNA Id# or your credit union charter number to login and complete the questionnaire. Questionnaires must be completed by February 22, 2013.

I urge you to take just a few moments to complete this so that we can get this fantastic new benefit to all credit unions and you can start using it as further evidence of your credit union’s value to your members.
