It’s nearly time for our Legislative Social and “Hike-the-Capitol” in Bismarck on February 5^th. Each legislative session we have a challenge in getting legislators to our event.  Either their social calendars are full or they are having caucus meetings. This is year is no different as there are two other significant events happening that evening with the ND Realtors Oyster Stew Social and The Chamber (GNDA) event.  So, in an effort to create more excitement about our event this year we are calling our social the Credit Union “Legislative Late Night.”

Highlighting our evening, besides good food, refreshments and fun credit union peeps, we have hired Deuces Wild to perform and entertain our lawmakers and credit union members. 

 Because of the other activities that evening – we want legislators to save our event for last.  SO, make plans to join us for the Credit Union Legislative Late Night in Bismarck. 

 Your instructions, HAVE FUN!  Our experience and research is that legislators put in a very long day at the Capitol, and they will appreciate the “late” night entertainment theme.  Remember, this is about building and reinforcing our relationship with our lawmakers.

Remember, there is NO COST to attend the Hike or the Social! Registration is meant to get an approximate head count so we can plan accordingly.

I cannot stress how important it is that we have strong credit union representation at the Capitol and especially at the Social.  Along with our “Hike” event, credit union participants will have personal meetings with legislative leadership from both chambers.

1:00 PM – Group introduced House Chambers (Split Group)

1:00 PM – Group introduced in Senate Chambers (Split group)

2:00 PM – Meet Senate Minority Leader – Senator Mac Scheider (D-42, Grand Forks)

2:20 PM – Meet House Minority Leader – Rep. Kenton Onstad (D-4, Parshall)

2:45 PM - Leave for Managers Forum at Radisson, Downtown
