The snow, wind and sub zero temperatures didn’t seem to bother North Dakotans last night as the downtown Bismarck area was a buzz, and the Historic Peacock Alley was active with guests and political junkies. 

The Peacock Alley is where the “Legislature Today” Interactive studio is located and it’s where the “Legislature Today” show is broadcast live every Monday through Thursday evening from 7 to 9 PM. The Credit Union Association of the Dakotas hosts an hour of live discussion each Tuesday night from 8 to 9 PM. 

Last night Rep. Don Vigessa (R-District 23), and Rep. Marvin Nelson (D-District 9) joined CUAD’s Greg Tschider (Association Legal Counsel) and Robbie Thompson for an hour long discussion about the financial service industry’s regulatory issues and burdens.  Rep. Vigessa and Rep. Nelson both serve on the House Industry, Business and Labor Committee (IBL).  This committee is where the majority of financial service bills are introduced and heard.
