Meet Kaitlyn Hardy, CUAD’s New Intern
Kaitlyn Hardy, left, is CUAD's new intern.
CUAD is proud to introduce our newest co-worker, Kaitlyn Hardy. Kaitlyn recently began working at the CUAD office in Bismarck as part of her undergraduate work at the University of Mary, where she is close to completing her Bachelor’s of Arts degree in communications.
Her primary duties at CUAD will be helping to promote the CU on the Road awareness campaign that will continue through 2013. She will also be acting as the CUAD liaison for the Credit Union Foundation of the Dakotas, as well as helping to plan our upcoming conferences: the Summit and the New Ideas Conference. Additional duties will be proofing written materials such as brochures and credit union newsletters.
“We are proud and excited to have this ambitious young person working with CUAD” says Robbie Thompson, President/CEO. “U of Mary is well known for their quality curriculum, and we expect that Kaitlyn will be an exceptional asset to the CUAD team.”
On a personal note, Kaitlyn enjoys outdoor activities such as 4-wheelin’, jet skis, and deer hunting with her dad. She has been able to drive tri-axles and semis since she was 16, hauling grain and beets for the family farm, and is currently working toward her CDL license. Her favorite holiday is “beet harvest”. Kaitlyn has big plans on pursuing a pilot’s license as well, and she is already a certified scuba diver.
A Montana native, Kaitlyn hails from a small town of approximately 800 residents, Fairview, in the Northeast corner of the state. “Thanks to the oil boom, our tiny town just got their first stop light” she quipped. Her family has a working ranch/farm, with everything from sugar beets to cattle. Says Kaitlyn, “My family has worked very hard to get where they are, and now it’s time for me to start my journey!”
Be sure to stop by one of the upcoming CU on the Road events, and meet CUAD's newest communicator!
