Tonight's "Legislature Today" radio show will focus on financial literacy and personal finance education.  The CUAD hour, which will be broadcast live from 8-9 PM tonight from the historic Peacock Ally in Downtown Bismarck, will feature Robbie Thompson, CUAD president/CEO, and Shannon Webster, VP of Marketing from Town & Country CU, Minot; ND.   Other guests this evening will be Treasurer Kelly Schmidt; Rep. Lisa Meier, (R-D32, AM) and Blair Thorsen (R-D44, Fargo) 

Rep. Meier has been a Financial Literacy Champion and has served the House Education committee since 2001.  Rep. Thorsen is the chair of the House Appropriations Committee and is one of four co-sponsors of HB 1217, a Bill relating to concepts of personal finance instruction at the middle school level.

The "Legislature Today" is broadcast live, Monday through Thursday, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., on flagship KFYR Radio of Bismarck, N.D. Other affiliates include AM 1100 “The Flag” in Fargo and KTGO AM 1090, which covers northwestern North Dakota’s oil country.
