The Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) Fund is accepting funding applications for 2013. The application deadline for the CDFI and Native American CDFI Assistance Programs is February 28, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Description: A two-hour live webinar conducted by the CDFI Fund staff who will review the FY 2013 CDFI Program application. There will be a live question and answer session too. See the CDFI Fund’s website for details on a similar event for the NACA Program.
There are also monthly conference calls scheduled for CDFI Certification. A certified CDFI is a specialized financial institution that works in market niches that are underserved by traditional financial institutions.

Don’t miss this free webinar that is being hosted by the National Credit Union Administration on the topic of Home Mortgage Disclosure Act and Loan Application Registers. Experts from the NCUA’s Office of Consumer Protection and the Federal Reserve Board will be addressing common errors identified in HMDA LAR data and submissions; providing tips for preparing and submitting accurate and timely HMDA LARs; and discussing financial institution management responsibilities in the HMDA process.

Finally, do not miss the National Credit Union Administration Board Chairman, Debbie Matz, who will be hosting a Town Hall Webinar with Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Director Richard Cordray. This webinar is FREE and will feature a broad discussion of new developments in financial regulation, including CFPB’s recently finalized regulations, proposed rules and enforcement efforts.
