Scholarships Available to Attend the CUNA GAC Conference

Credit unions across the Dakotas have successfully worked hard to educate themselves on governmental relations and the political process in general. If we’re not advocating for our members, for our financial institution – who will?
We believe that good government requires the participation of the people, its businesses, as well as groups or associations. In support of this core value, the North Dakota and South Dakota Governmental Affairs Committees (GAC) is once again offering the GAC assistance to credit union professionals and volunteers who would like to attend the CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference, February 23-28, 2013, at the Washington Convention Center, Washington, D.C.
The CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference is the largest and most impactful credit union conference, and the one event that all credit unions should attend.
The scholarships are open to all credit union executives, staff, and volunteer members. The scholarship award typically covers the registration fee which ranges from $500-$1000. The purpose of the Governmental Affairs Scholarship assistance is to cultivate, promote, and energize credit union professionals and members in the grassroots advocacy process. Other expenses such as travel, lodging, and entertainment will be the responsibility of either a sponsoring credit union or the individual(s). Anyone who has received a GAC scholarship assistance award in the last three years is not eligible to apply.
