Santa Gifts Head to Black Hills Children’s Home
However, the generous giving to the Black Hills Children’s Home wasn’t limited to the purchase of gifts. There were several donations delivered to Highmark to cover extra holiday expenses at the Children’s Home. One generous and anonymous donor, who was physically unable to shop for gifts, sent in $400. The staff at Highmark FCU also pitched in to build on that donation. These extra funds will cover any last minute gifts and additional holiday needs that the Black Hills Children’s Home may have. The staff at Highmark Federal Credit Union presented a check for $500 to Theresa Schreiner, Volunteer Program and Development Coordinator, Black Hills Children’s Home. (See photo below.)
“Thank you all so much. Every “Secret Santa” has been a silent angel to the children at the Black Hills Children’s Home. Many of the children we serve have few or no Christmas memories”, Theresa Schreiner explained. “We are so very grateful to Highmark FCU and the Rapid City community for the kindness and generosity that will bring wide eyes and much joy to the children living at Black Hills Children's Home and the emergency home this Christmas.”
This is the 3rd year that Highmark Federal Credit Union has partnered with the Black Hills Children’s Home to provide Christmas gifts to every child in their care.
