M-O Federal Credit Union was awarded “Best Portrayal of Parade Theme” at the 20th Annual Parade of Lights hosted by the Huron Chamber & Visitors Bureau on Friday, November 23rd.
The parade theme this year was “A Cartoon Christmas”, which inspired the credit union’s “Scooby Doo” entry. The credit union completely wrapped a van to make the Mystery Machine, and had staff and their families dress up as other characters from the Scooby Doo gang, throwing out “Scooby Fruit Snacks” to children along the way.
During the parade route, parade goers were encouraged to let M-O FCU “Solve Your Financial Mysteries” by offering “Scooby Snack Savings”, “Mystery Machine Mortgages”, and “Ramburger Rates” …Solving Financial Mysteries one member at a time.
The credit union received many positive comments from those watching the parade. They also parked the Mystery Machine in the credit union parking lot to let more people get a look, providing great exposure for the credit union. There were even several people who stopped and took pictures with the Mystery Machine sitting in the parking lot!
