The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) will be holding a webinar on October 16 to provide an overview of this new rule and answer questions on the new remittance transfer rule.

Questions may be submitted in advance and the CFPB indicates that it will be answering as many questions as possible. As you will recall this final rule is effective February 7, 2013.

• RSVP by October 9 to CFPB_RemittanceRule@cfpb.gov to reserve your spot.
• Send your question about the rule by October 5 to CFPB_RemittanceRule@cfpb.gov.

The CFPB has also released a list of countries and other areas to which a particular exception to the rule’s disclosure requirements will apply.
